PHOTOJOURNALISM
“Photography records the gamut of feelings written on the human face, the beauty of the earth
and skies that man has inherited, and the wealth and confusion man has created. It is a major
force in explaining man to man.”
– Edward Steichen

My passion for photography is a natural extension of the work I do as a television producer, online publisher and journalist. For decades I have been telling stories with words and images. Through my work in network news, documentaries, show production and Olympic sports, I have used pictures to touch and explain.
Just as television and journalism convey information and emotion, a photograph can create a palpable response in those who see it. A photograph tells a story. It captures time and place. It awes and inspires. It can outrage and evoke action. Above all, it can linger in our hearts and thoughts for a lifetime.
I find inspiration in nature and the landscape of humanity. Through my travels and assignments, I have been able to witness extraordinary beauty and incredible suffering. I have been able to capture the soul of people in communities near and far. My photographs showcase emotions and faces full of character.
My goal is that my journalistic skills and artistry will create more appreciation and compassion for the world and its inhabitants. I also hope that every picture I take tells a story and creates a special moment for those who pause to enjoy it.
